The Town of Telluride, with its quaint community, dramatic setting, and convenience to the slopes, trails and Town activities has always been a popular real estate option for many. An inherently small inventory however has moved values high. On the flip side, Mountain Village homes are by and large more spacious, home sites are substantially more expansive than in Telluride, and in most instances represent a substantially better value. Home choices range from the golf course, where sun and views are extraordinary; to the core of the Village, where convenience to the ski lifts, Gondola, golf course, and Peaks Spa stand out. The ski in ski out segment of the market is the envy of the ski resort industry. There are few ski areas where so many residential homes are either directly on the ski slope, or within the equivalent of a town block as Mountain Village.
From homes on secluded wooded lots to big view properties the inventory ranges from $ 1.5 million to over $ 15 million. Relative to the Town of Telluride, the Mountain Village residential market has not yet climbed out of its slump. Of 69 homes currently available in Mountain Village,
